Frank Heckel

Besides his work as orchestrator, conductor and »musicstuntman« for Film and TV, Frank composes and arranges mostly for symphony orchestra-live performances, transforming Pop/Rock/Metal-works into »Symphonic Poems« and orchestrating classical Piano-pieces exactly in the style of the composer.

On the other side of the glass he can be found working as Music-Supervisor and -Preparator as well as Recording Engineer and Music Producer (member of VDT: Verband Deutscher Tonmeister).

Frank is also music notation-software-specialist, having created the German localization of the first versions of SIBELIUS in the late 90ies. He was Germany’s top expert / trainer for two decades (and wrote a 720-pages book »Sibelius Praxisbuch« in 2008). Since 2017 he is one of Germany’s leading DORICO-experts.

Frank’s works for the Concert Hall are published by SIKORSKI, Edition Peters and Carus Verlag.
